Leave Montpellier and follow the Larzac foothills into the heart of the Hérault valley. A pleasant path leads to the terraced vineyards of Montpeyroux, a village-castle nestled in unspoilt garrigue. It's here that the renowned wines of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, Languedocs d'altitude, Terrasses-du-Larzac and Montpeyroux have been produced since 1950. These wines have long had the ambition of obtaining "cru communal" status, supported by the region's 21 cooperative wineries.

Sehr gute Beratung mit ungezwungener Verkostung. Die Frau (wohl die Tochter des Inhabers, wenn ich Sie richtig verstanden habe) war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Laden wurde sehr schön renoviert und hat eine große Auswahl. Trotz der französischen Sprachbarriere meinerseits, konnten wir uns ausreichend auf Englisch unterhalten und Sie hatte sich wirklich Mühe gegeben.

Vin blanc: rosé exces
Vin rouge: seul l'avenir

Assez peu de vins locaux (par ailleurs plus cher que dans d'autres caves coopératives de la région), grand choix cependant de vins, bières et alcool d'autres régions, c'est plus une "cave" qu'une "coopérative"
