Bruno Peyre took over the destiny of the family vineyard in 2004. A fervent defender of the carignan grape, a fan of totally manual harvesting with basket picking, he produces wines that are a reference on his small organic farm of 4.3 ha located on the edge of the Salagou lake. Its Clos des Clapisses has even won a gold medal seven years running at the Concours des Grands Vins du Languedoc-Roussillon. To date, Mas du Salagou is one of the only estates, if not the only one, to produce three 100% carignan vintages, in white, red and rosé.
