STATUE "HOPE" BY NELLA BUSCOT
"Majestic", "impressive", "ambitious", these are the terms that could describe this statue of Palavas. Inaugurated on 23 December 2014, it is the result of many years of work and collaboration between the city and the artist Nella Buscot. This bronze of 4 metres and 40 tonnes greets the arrival of the boats in the port. Located next to the beacon lighthouses, the statue seems to emerge from the vastness of the Big Blue, like a mirage. The work is composed of five characters and represents hope, it blends perfectly with the rest of the coast and remains a surprising point of interest in the city.
