Paul Artus founded his workshop in 1947, successfully holding exhibitions and promoting arts and crafts. The pieces of the Paul Artus workshop, Montpellier earthenware but also modern ceramics, can be found in many places and homes in the Hérault region but also throughout the world. It is François Siffre who represents today the third generation of earthenware makers of the family. He is the only one now to perpetuate the earthenware of "old Montpellier" which contributed to the prosperity of the city for nearly 4 centuries.
