Restaurant proposing a family cooking of fresh products in the historical center of Pézenas.

Right in the heart of the historic centre of Pézenas, Le Vieux Coq offers a family cuisine, without ostentation, and always based on fresh produce. As the seasons go by, Marguerite, the owner, makes and sends colourful plates inspired by the region. They take the form of fresh grilled fish, omelettes, pieces of beef, offal and cheese, perfectly cooked. All this is accompanied by a small selection of regional wines, in white, red or rosé versions. Flavours, kindness and charm are at the rendezvous in this beautiful room with its warm colours, as well as on the shady terrace that stretches over the cobblestones of Place Gambetta.

Simply excellent! Breathtaking setting on a superb little square all in steak, beautiful terrace. The cuisine is a real treat, we have several times and each time it was a real pleasure. Fresh ingredients and regional... if you want to have a good time and you level I recommend it to you!

J'explique mon expérience :
Je réserve le resto pour 5 personnes à 16h pour 21h. Mon ami et sa copine arrivant de Toulon sont un petit peu retard ce qui fait que l'on arrive au Vieux Coq à 21h25 (au lieu de 21h). La serveuse me dit : on ne vous attendait plus, je vais voir si c'est possible... 2 min après j'entends hurler des cuisines "Qu'ils aillent se faire enc..." (En français dans le texte, incroyable...)
Étant avec ma fille, ma femme, et mes amis je ne fais pas de scandale et je dis "Pas grave, au revoir" pour ceux qui me connaisse, je suis resté zen sur ce coup là non ?
Bref, cette malheureuse expérience nous a au moins permis de connaître un super Resto juste à côté qui s'appelle "Les Palmiers". Je vais de ce pas laisser un commentaire concernant Les Palmiers que je vous invite à consulter car ça au moins c'est un Resto digne de ce nom.
