MARTROR
Planned by the Temporadas Collective, Martror is also known as the "Festa dels Mòrts" ("Feast of the Dead"). Despite its sinister name, this ritual festival symbolizes the cycle of life and death in a joyful and lively way. The streets of the city are filled with this spirit of conviviality and dozens of extras dressed as white angels, ghosts, devils and other skeletons come to animate the place. Laughter, songs and dances are part of this traditional Occitan celebration. At the same time, at the Maison des Métiers d'Art, several craftsmen exhibit their mysterious, frightening or offbeat creations inspired by these festivities.
