ST. SIMEON-STYLIAN CHURCH
The church of Saint-Siméon-le-Stylite located in Pinet has a fascinating history and a neo-gothic pulpit.
The fascinating history of this building begins with its sale in 1793 and it was no longer accessible to the inhabitants. Some people contributed to invest in a building that was consecrated in 1804, then enlarged in 1823. Finally, it was sold in 1868 and the profits were used to commission the construction of a new Gothic style church, completed in 1877. Its neo-Gothic pulpit, the work of Pierre-Paul Laclau, was donated by the Combes family.
