CHATEAU DE LA GARENNE
The remains of this castle are classified as Historic Monuments
This monument was built by Jacques de Tournezy, a powerful magistrate of the Court of Accounts of Montpellier, in the 17th century. He was the holder of the high seigneury of Poussan. During the construction, he decided that the castle would be the architectural front of an immense garden that he imagined on the front. In this elegant little castle, precursor of the famous Montpellier follies, the Tournezy family received the Montpellier bourgeoisie during the summer. Today, this residence is classified as a Historic Monument.
