WATERMILLS
Roquebrun's water mills, dating back to the Middle Ages, were used to grind cereal seeds and produce oil.
The massive architecture and robust construction of the mills of Roquebrun suggest that they were built in the middle of the Middle Ages, the period from which most of the watermills still visible in our region originated. Then present on all the rivers, they were necessary for everyone to grind the seeds of cereals or to make oil. Abandoned over time, they still stand on the banks of the Orb, at the foot of the old village. To admire these majestic buildings, you have to go to the south bank.
