LERAB LING
Founded in 1992 by Sogyal Rinpoche, author of the famous Tibetan Book of Life and Death, Lérab Ling is a religious congregation recognized by the French Ministry of the Interior. The main international retirement center in Rigpa is a place of discovery, study and practice of Buddhism. Its vocation is to translate the key values of the ancient tradition of Tibet into the various fields of contemporary life. The Temple of Lérab Ling is one of the most authentic traditional Tibetan temples in Europe. It is inspired in all its aspects by the best examples of the architecture of Tibetan monasteries in the Himalayas. It is a living testimony to this great tradition of wisdom that is at risk in Tibet. There is a beautiful Buddha statue of 7 meters high. Since its opening in 1992, Lérab Ling has been blessed by the visit of many great masters of the Buddhist tradition and in particular by His Holiness the Dalai Lama twice in 2000 and 2008.
