LERAB LING BUDDHIST TEMPLE
Temple founded in 1992 and built in the traditional style, housing a 7-metre-high statue of Buddha as well as other collections
Founded in 1992 by Sogyal Rinpoche, the Lerab Ling community saw its temple inaugurated in 2008 by the Dalai Lama. Located on the Escandorgue plateau, it was built in the traditional style inspired by the finest Himalayan temples, and houses a 7-metre-high statue of Buddha as well as a collection of paintings, statues and relics. The shimmering decor was created by artists and craftsmen from Tibetan communities. An unusual and inspiring visit.
