MOULIN DE LA GARRIGUE - OLIVERAIE DU COFFRE
It was in the small village of Saint-André-de-Sangonis, 35 km from Montpellier, that Jean-Marie Delmas, an agricultural engineer at INRA, created the first private oil mill in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in 1986. Today, the Roch family has taken over this mill, which has two continuous chains enabling it to process 1.2 t of olives per hour (custom batches available from 250 kg input). Owner of an olive grove, the Roch family offers its oil for sale under the brand Oliveraie du coffre. To be discovered in the shop of the mill where you can also find many local products and cosmetics. Finally, the Roch family has a nursery with olive trees of various sizes and ages of the traditional varieties of the Hérault.
