A house evoking rural life and trades of yesteryear, using tools, costumes and objects.
La maison Cévenole uses tools, costumes and objects to evoke rural life and the trades of yesteryear. Through objects and photos, you'll find the workshop of a coffin-maker, a cooper or a nail-maker, and daily life in the Hauts-Cantons. A "Folk arts and traditions" section recreates local customs. The Castrum du Neyran archeological site and the pre-Romanesque church of Saint-Laurent de Féreyrolles are now on display in a new dedicated room.

The museum is quaint. The entrance is free. Interesting collection made of pieces/artifacts from the past in the region. There were some nice hair pieces for women and impressive tools. The museum does not have a lot of money, so it can not offer audio books or leaflets. The people handing the desk were very nice and helpful. There is a small part of the place with shelves that serves a shop showcasing local products: jams, flours, chestnut cream, some knives, etc. I bought an acacia flower jelly.
