SAN MARTIN CHURCH
This church built in the century is a pure jewel of the Romanesque art of Languedoc
Built in the 12th century, this church is a pure jewel of Languedoc Romanesque art. A dome of Byzantine inspiration allows to pass from the square plan to the circle. To the south, the 13th century portal is surmounted by a tympanum decorated with a sculpture: a man on horseback representing Saint Martin sharing his coat with a poor man who was dying of cold... The building was lucky enough to be spared during the Wars of Religion and the Revolution. Badly enlarged in the 19th century, it was well restored in 1932.
