LA SOURCE DU JAUR
Walk to the source of the Jaur, emerging from a 6 m high cavity at the bottom of a 15 m high cliff.
The Jaur rises in Saint-Pons-de-Thomières from a 6-metre-high cavity at the bottom of a 15-metre cliff. Often explored in the 19th century and made accessible to visitors at certain times, this spring has a sacred aura. Legend has it that it was once a monster that was petrified by the gods. A pleasant stroll through the nearby park, with its lush vegetation maintaining a mild temperature in summer, offers a magnificent view over Saint-Pons-de-Thomières. Not to be missed!
