THE ORPELLIERES
The Domaine des Orpellières in Sérignan is an exceptional site comprising a beach, a dune belt and vast salt meadows.
The Domaine des Orpellières, shared by Valras and Sérignan, is a 150-hectare site at the mouth of the Orb River. Acquired by the Conservatoire National du Littoral in 1980, it includes a beach, a 2.5 km dune belt and vast salt meadows. Footpaths running alongside roundels and gourgues of samphire and tamarisk allow you to explore this exceptional site, as well as the Grande-Maïre pond. In summer, this area and the beach can be reached from Valras-Plage by ferry.
