PRIEURE D’AMILHAC
2 000 years ago, the Roman Gentilice Aemelius settled in this place to base a villa, planting olive trees and vineyards… Today, the estate of Marcel Cazottes, the Domaine produces the famous wines of the Côtes de Thongues and is still selling the old vintages of almost 30 years! A magnificent area where you can also discover a Romanesque chapel, a th century press, a museum and exhibitions. The place that is worth the detour and wines too. We have retained the old vintages (94 Merlot, 96 Merlot and cabernet Sauvignon 91) but also the large profusion of "A" of Amilhac, assembly of four varieties: Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot-Noir, Syrah, an intense wine with liquorice aromas and violet.
