Restaurant located in the heart of the fishing port facing the boats in Sète offering good food at affordable prices.
Embracing the canal, facing the boats, La Calanque offers local dishes in a decor with Mediterranean colors. In a room or on the veranda, you can watch a parade of dishes, here it is a varied menu of sea fish and reasonable prices. A bistro formula which remains one week, grilled sea bream. A la carte we have the right to a parade of gourmet dishes: tielle, macaroni, bass, cuttlefish rouille or mussels stuffed with sétoise. For dessert, we love the homemade tarte tatin or the tiramisu.

Salade de poulpes pas fraîche (en clair: qui pue) et qui a été refroidie pour camoufler la misère, le serveur n'étant pas étonné qu'on lui signale... Poêlée de la mer en partie surgelée, qui baigne dans 3 cms d'huile et flambée dans rien du tout. Qualité du service médiocre. A éviter

Le hasard nous a conduits dans ce restaurant. À notre goût, nous y avons déjeuné et dîné pendant 2 jours ... Selon les conseils du patron, nous nous sommes régalés avec la tielle, la rouille de seiches, les fruits de mer à la plancha, la macaronade de poissons (sublime), la baudroie, jusqu'à la salade de fruits frais maison. Tout nous faisait envie lorsque nous regardions les plats arriver sur les tables voisines (entre autres la bouillabaisse que nous n'avons pas eu le temps de déguster) mais ce n'est que partie remise ! L'accueil a à notre sens était des plus chaleureux, le personnel aux petits soins. Bref, que du bonheur !

Very disappointed not only by the restaurant himself, but also by the " small futé". Disappointing reception, one has the feeling of disturbed. Too fast service, and the products are certainly not caught a morning, or day before. Personally, now I will think of it on twice before choosing a restaurant recommended by the " small futé".
Even if it is a tourist restaurant, we found the welcome is very friendly and the correct meal. It is certainly not great Cuisine but there is research in presentation.
