LA SAINT-LOUIS

The patron saint of the city is celebrated with Languedoc jousts and concerts. You won't be disappointed!
At the end of August, the feast of Saint-Louis (patron saint of Sète) marks the feast of the jousters and the show is worth the detour. On the face of it, the rule is simple: each one on a boat, you have to make your opponent fall into the water. The rest of the tournament will prove you wrong. One thing is certain: since Colbert inaugurated the port with this sport on St. Louis Day 1666, the tradition has never failed! Around this tradition, which is part of Sète's heritage, there is also the non-stop fiesta: tapas and music galore!
