NOTRE-DAME DE CENTEILLES CHAPEL
Chapel with vault of the choir with elegant lines and ancient frescoes, the Crucifixion, David playing the harp, the tree of Jesse
The 13th century building in the middle of the garrigue has an austere exterior, but once you pass through the portal, you will be captivated by the elegant lines of the choir vault. The interior of the church has preserved some very old frescoes (14th-15th centuries): David playing the harp, the tree of Jesse, the Crucifixion... Unfortunately, they have been deteriorated by the emanations of sheep manure, because this chapel was disused during the Revolution and was used as a sheepfold for a long time!
