CHÂTEAU VALCYRE GAFFINEL
Since 1924, at Château de Valcyre, it's a wine story. From father to son, the vineyard was extended by 12 hectares in the years 1980, by 20 today, including 6 in pic-saint-loup. In the years 1990, the production was extended by red, rosé or white quality wines. Red wine productions are traditional, in rosé, saignée methods and direct pressing are combined to obtain aromatic and powerful rosé. The white wines are vinified under temperature control, put in new barrels with regular stirring over 3 to 6 months and even a year for "brise l'âme". You will find vintages such as "Coup de soleil" (rosé pic-saint-loup), and three vintages in red pic-saint-loup the "cuvée Quentin" 80% syrah and 20% grenache, "la vie de château" same blending with aging in barrels and "Confit de générations" 80% grenache and 20% syrah. Other pretty nuggets can also be discovered...
