BEACH OF THE ORPELLIÈRES
This 1.5 km long wild beach on the left bank of the Orb is bordered by dunes and the Orpellières wilderness area
Situated on the left bank of the Orb, this wild beach, sometimes nicknamed Plage Mer et Soleil, runs for 1.5 km alongside Les Orpellières, a property owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Popular with lovers of tranquillity, it can be reached from the center of Valras-Plage via a ferry boat. The tourist office offers guided tours of the dunes and flora in summer. Valras-Plage's first beach to the east, it is only supervised in high season near the parking lot, and fishing is prohibited.
