An opportunity to take a quick tour of Maguelone Cathedral, with a little train from Palavas to avoid the walk.

Listed as a historical monument, the cathedral seems to be frozen, almost intact despite its several hundred years. Its existence is steeped in history, dating back to Charles Martel and the papal retreat. It is a quick visit, two hours maximum, but it is very well known in the region. To get there, two methods are available. The first is to park your car in the car park and walk the 2 km to the building. Otherwise, the little train of Palavas can take you there and avoid the walk.

Estivales de Maguelone (Wednesdays in summer, 6:30 pm to 11 pm), Festival des musiques anciennes, wine-tourism walks (Thursdays in summer, 10 am). Free admission. Guided tours. Restaurant. Gift store. Entertainment. Association des Compagnons de Maguelone: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm / 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Superbe édifice dans un lieu étonnant avec une belle explication de l'aventure de sa sauvegarde par une famille passionnée. Le point de vue est admirable. A ne pas rater.

Accessible en petit train, à vélo ou à pieds (#2kms), île devenue presqu'île, un lieu de spiritualité certaine et historique (Cathédrale St Pierre & St Paul), bordé par des étangs où les oiseaux se plaisent et nichent, en particulier flaments roses dt les vols dans le petit matin, au lever du soleil, sont simplement magiques... Gérée, entretenue par les Compagnons de MAGUELONE, le Parc arboré qui l'entoure mérite également visite avec les paons dt 1 blanc, la vigne, les jardins... Un restaurant vous y accueille; tout est accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite... A visiter absolument.
