In the inventory of historic monuments, Villeneuvette chapel was built by the Protestant clerical clerks who founded the Manufacture in 1674. According to some descriptions, it was a building of 7 meters per 15, oriented east. In 1740, the building was enlarged by Guillaume IV Castanier of Auriac, the first Catholic fabricator in Villeneuvette. The chapel retains a painted decor dated 1870 and signed by the painter Pauthe. It shows an iconography and inscriptions related to the paternalistic doctrine of Le Play, applied to Villeneuvette: representation of an archangel «materialism and atheism», and the inscription «God blessed the work», echoing the spirit of the motto of the gate of entry of the factory.
