Church with a bell tower dating from 1873, a nave rebuilt in the 19th century, an apse from the 12th century and sculptures on the outside
The church of Saint-Vivien was extensively reworked over the centuries before being finally equipped with a bell tower in 1873. The nave was enlarged and rebuilt in the 19th century. After the damage of the Second World War, a new reconstruction took place in the 1960s. Do not hesitate to take a look at the apse which dates from the 12th century. This architectural part is a flamboyant representative of the saintongeais style and is considered among the most beautiful in the region. On the outside, the sculptures of religious scenes are quite remarkable.
