Museum in Peyre en Aubrac, housing objects from everyday life and offering archaeology awareness programs

Since the beginning of excavations in the 19th century, Javols has continued to discover the remains of its Gallo-Roman past. The museum houses artefacts from daily life, and offers regular events and workshops for younger visitors, as well as archaeological awareness campaigns. The 40-hectare site can be visited on an outdoor trail, signposted to show where the remains have been reburied for protection purposes.

Un musée très ludique, très bien pour les enfants. La visite virtuelle animée par une guide super . Un prix défiant toute concurrence.Un très bon moment . Merci

interessant et agréable à visiter. Dommage que certaines rampes d'éclairage soient en panne et empêchent de voir les objets en vitrine. Nous n'avons pas pu avoir la visite virtuelle car la personne de l'accueil "en avait fait une juste avant" ! Il y avait pourtant bien assez de monde pour en faire une autre . C'était assez décevant !
