Basilica of Notre-Dame-de-la-Fin-des-Terres with a gothic bell tower, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO

Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this basilica had to be raised several meters to extract it from the devouring dunes in 1859. The building is still half-buried in the ground in order not to weaken its walls: it is therefore necessary to descend several steps to enter the nave with three bays of the eleventh century. At the top of the 14th century gothic bell tower, you can still see rings that were used to tie horses. A beautiful heritage.
