Apprentices knights and musketeers, go to the Château de Vayres, less than 25 kilometres from Saint-Emilion. Every year, at the beginning of August, the Cape and Sword Festival is held. This event, organised by the Association des Fines Lames du Médoc, has already been running for more than 10 years and offers entertainment in the main courtyard and in the rooms of the château. Fife and drum parade, fencing duels, playlets, craftsmen's stalls, horse-drawn carriage rides, falcon flights, harp and flute concerts... Immerse yourself in the world of the knights and musketeers of the Renaissance. Catering is provided at the castle tavern, filled with local products, in the farmyard: a change of scenery guaranteed!
