CHÂTEAU QUERCY
The estate produces not one, but two Saint-Emilion grands crus: Château Quercy (first wine) and Château Graves de Peyroutas (second wine). In keeping with tradition, the harvests are separated here from the various parcels of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, before being blended at the end of the process. For more information, educational tours are available by appointment only. On this occasion, you can discover the history of the château since the end of the 18th century, take a tour of the vineyard and its old vines from 1901. In the vat room, the cellar master will also explain the stages of vinification, then the maturing of the wines for 15 to 18 months. We will tell you again how, since the 2009 harvest, the vineyard has been in organic conversion, without any weedkiller, pesticides or chemicals.
