Castle-fortress built in the Middle Ages, with free and guided visits all year long and animations for the whole family.

Built in 1305 on the orders of Bertrand de Goth, who became Pope Clement V, the castle of Villandraut is a fortress palace which is characterized by its six round towers still standing, and its enclosure in very good condition. Its curtain walls pierced with cross-patterned archways on two floors are among the oldest of their kind in France. The guided tour is very instructive. In summer, enjoy traditional games in the courtyard of the castle or a visit by torchlight at nightfall ... Immersive and impressive!

Opening time and information on VILLANDRAUT CASTLE

High season: open daily from 10am to 1pm and from 2:30pm to 6pm. Open every afternoon in April (2nd fortnight) and September; weekends and public holidays in May and September; by appointment from October to March. Free admission for children under 7. Adults: €5. Children (aged 7 to 17): €3. Groups (15 people): €3. Vacation vouchers. Children's welcome (escape game, birthday party). Guided tours (departures: 10:15, 11:45, 14:45, 16:15; 14:30 and 16:15 in April and September). Animations.

Villandraut chateau en ruine

Accueil sympathique, visite réduite (ah le corona!) la tenue par de jeunes bénévoles est respectable mais tout çà manque d'entretien même les jeux dans la cour sont usés abimés.Notre petite fille a aimé c'est le principal.

Pas visité l'intérieur mais fait le tour : château imposant qui mérite le détour rien que pour l'admirer de l'extérieur et, si vous avez le temps, sûrement une visite !
