THE PLAINFAING GREEN THEATRE
The Théâtre de Verdure in Plainfaing is a cultural venue, hosting theater festivals, concerts, soccer tournaments...
The Verdure Green Theatre was built in 1936 by the village teacher, Aimé Dodin. He had the idea of building this wooden building for his students so that they could take full advantage of the good air of the mountain. In 1985, a village association decided to rebuild this building that had previously been destroyed. With a paved scene and stands for up to 600 people, a new cultural site was created. In 1997, there was also the first amateur theatre festival. But it is also a place of relaxation, including a children's square, games… Different events are organised throughout the year, such as concerts, carnivals, football tournaments… Find the entire calendar on the website.
