LE LIADOU DU VALLON
The Liadou is first of all a skill, a know-how inherited from people and times long gone by. Above all, it is a beautiful object that tells a story, a piece of local tradition: that of a knife that was once used by the Marcillac winegrowers to split wicker and bind the vine into a crown. For the locals, the rebirth of this identity tool and its hand-crafted manufacture has stirred up memories. Old anecdotes have resurfaced and with them all the emotional capital attached to this knife with its wide and original blade pointing downwards, its solid flat-notched spring and its very virile handle. After the inhabitants of the Vallon, it is the great chefs of Aveyron, here in the department or elsewhere, who have succumbed to this accessory which gives character to their gastronomic table. Since its rebirth in 2016, the Liadou du Vallon has widened its range and design without betraying its authenticity, with the little Liadou, more feminine, table knives and an exceptional collection based on noble materials. All products are entirely manufactured in the workshop in downtown Marcillac.
