THE SAOUSSAS MILL
Water-powered mill, built after the Revolution to meet the needs of the valley's inhabitants
This mill was built after the Revolution in order to meet the needs of the inhabitants of the valley. Powered by water, it worked until 1937 when a flood of the Neste destroyed the water intake. Reconstituted, its millstone preserved, it started working again in 1996 and ensures the production of organic flour. You can attend a demonstration and visit the eco-museum and the old hydraulic sawmill, also beautifully reconstructed. Farm products such as sheep's cheese and regional products are on sale.
