SALVATION VALLEY PARK
A park featuring remarkable flora and fauna on the former Grands Thermes site in Bagnères-de-Bigorre.
There are walks which only Bagnères-de-Bigorre has the secret, and what to say about this green lung that grows like a Eden preserved on the heights of the city! In a few steps, you're looking at a landscape not only splendid but also filled with memories. It seems that every alder wants to echo it, the soul of the Vallon du Salut is so laden with stories that one expects to cross a prince and his court, curists in crinoline or an artist of a century over. Its picturesque appearance and natural riches have been classified in 2007 and from the porch that signs its entrance, you will understand why. It was here that the old Great Thermes built in 1828. The small river, Aygo Tebio, channeled through stone walls, attracted tourists from all over France from the sixteenth century. From this ancient swamp, it remains a typical and protected flora and fauna. By continuing the walk, you arrive at a cave which is a wonderful theater of greenery that various events animate. Its enchanting appearance adds to the charm of the site of 244 ha, which we love both faces, verdant side of the valley and forest in the Bédat massif.
