Cistercian abbey with an impressive abbey church and a remarkable park, a heritage jewel at the foot of the castle of Mauvezin

At the foot of the Château de Mauvezin in the Baronnies region, the Abbey de l'Escaladieu was founded around 1140. Heir to the Cistercian precepts of simplicity, its architecture is an invitation to serenity. Renovated in 1997, the abbey offers self-guided, guided and audio-guided tours. Stroll through the gardens and discover the annual contemporary art exhibition. For a mysterious atmosphere, take part in torchlight tours or sample local produce at the Christmas market. And don't forget to explore the interactive multimedia trail, which will appeal to young and old alike.

Incontournable. Lieu intéressant pour son histoire mais aussi pour ses animations- excellent concert- et pour ses expositions d'art contemporain-particulièrement réussie cette année. Accueil très sympathique.

Génial, nous y sommes allés un soir avec spectacle d'acrobate et de jongleurs, c'était très sympa !
Un plus pour les jongleurs qui étaient exceptionnel !!

Les explicacions no només estan molt bé sino que estan molt ben presentades. La interactivitat fa que sigui molt més atractiu i informatiu. Els jardins tant de fora com els interns van ser molt xulos.
