BRAMEVA CASTLE
This castle offers a lovely walk and a breathtaking view over much of the valley
Rising from the ruins of a square keep, the 11th-century château offers a panoramic view of the Barousse from its access via a stone staircase. Witness to the past, the village is home to a 12th-century Romanesque church with architectural treasures such as a Chrism on the lintel and a 13th-century engraved tombstone. Nearby, a stone depicting a salamander recalls the emblem of François I. Queen Marguerite's garden evokes the legend of the château, the feudal cradle of the valley. Perched at an altitude of 600 m, it invites you to take a trip back in time.
