THE COLLEGIALE DE L'ASSOMPTION AND THE MUSEUM OF RELIGIOUS ART
The tower tower leaves no doubt about the military and defensive character of the primitive church. Certainly built upon the fortification of the castle, as in many castelnals, the present church left no trace of the date of this replacement! Valued in the second decade of the xivcentury century, the building presents several currents and materials whose architectural richness has classified the ensemble to historical monuments. A chapter of twelve canoines, a xvie century choir of sculpted oak, a classified organ and side chapels: Collegiate is a splendor. Its monumental bell tower, which makes it a fortress whose architecture can be admired with holes of arquebushes and berries in murderers. Today, it is in this tower that an original Religious Arts Museum welcomes you. Gilues of golden wood of xve and sixteenth centuries but also paintings, various objects of worship and sculptures on wood, painted and golden, are part of collections that run up to the nineteenth century. From the treasure of the college, all have been restored and the special framework of their exhibition adds to these remains a particular aura.
