This mythical site in the Pyrenees marks the border between France and Spain
Towering 2,807 meters above sea level, the Brèche de Roland is not just an imposing rock formation; it's steeped in medieval legend. This natural opening, 40 metres wide and rising to almost 100 metres, forms a remarkable passageway between France and Spain. On one side, it offers panoramic views of the Cirque de Gavarnie, while on the other, it reveals the Spanish side and the Ordesa National Park. Hikers on its trails are rewarded with breathtaking mountain scenery.

Departure from the col du tent, pass right while staying Boucharo however flan not to lose altitude and management Forqueta de Gabieto (not to venture there so subject to vertigo) then Puerto de Escusana, Collado de Salarous and just before las fajas los flores there is a perfect place to plant the tent.
The next day las fajas los flores and return to the col de tent by the brêche Roland.
It is heavenly...
