ANDRÉ LACOME SCULPTOR
A family business not to be missed in Lourdes presenting large sculptures and original engravings of all inspirations.
Although André Lacôme passed away in 2008, his breath lives on through his creations. The talent of this sculptor, a master in religious art, is recognized from the Vatican to the Catholic Relief Services. Many of his works are exhibited in convents, churches and private homes. His approach is perpetuated by his students and Daniel, his son-in-law, who continue the tradition. The business remains in the family, since the store is now run by her daughter Elisabeth. She offers large original sculptures and engravings of all inspirations, made by the hand of her father. If these masterful works are not within the reach of everyone, she also offers many other products, smaller and cheaper, all home-made, in the workshop. As simple souvenirs or easy gifts, we are particularly fond of ceramic plaques, key rings engraved on bronze or enamel, and medals, on which we obviously find the names of the patron saints. It is also possible to order an engraving of a specific first name of a day for the next day. The numerous jewels, rosaries and cross pendants are magnificent and original. Finally, you will also find a multitude of wooden statuettes, carved in the workshop, on local species such as chestnut, cherry and pear. An address not to be missed, to keep a souvenir of your visit to Lourdes or of your pilgrimage.
