ASSUMPTION CHURCH
Classified as a historic monument by decree on 25 September 1968, the altar-piece of the parish church of Moulédous, made of carved, painted and gilded wood, was the subject of a restoration campaign between 1982 and 1986, under the direction of Françoise Marcos. Occupying the choir of the church, it is one of the most beautiful Baroque religious ensembles of the Upper Pyrenees churches. It is composed of three parts: the altarpiece, the altar-tomb and the tabernacle. The altarpiece was made in the second half of the 17th century or at the beginning of the 18th century by Ferrere or Soustre, two artists from Asté.
