ST. BARTHOLOMEW'S CHURCH
A church overlooking the plain and the knives, with a flat chevet, a richly carved portal and keystones
Saint-Barthélemy church stands in a dominant position overlooking the plain and hillsides. This 16th-century Gothic church boasts a listed 17th-century altarpiece, a 3-bay nave, a flat chevet, a richly sculpted portal, coat-of-arms keystones and a Renaissance font. On the forecourt, in the shade of two giant trees, you'll discover the calvary with two sculptures, one of the Virgin Mary, the other of Bernadette Soubirous, kneeling before her. The pulpit depicts the Four Evangelists, with Jesus Christ in the center.
