It is the only station served by the train in the territory of the Bigorre hills. It was opened in 1867 by the Compagnie des chemins de fer du Midi et du Canal latéral à la Garonne for the commissioning of the section from Montréjeau to Tarbes of the Toulouse/Bayonne line. It sees about 20,000 travellers pass through it every year. It is served by TER Occitanie trains which operate between Toulouse-Matabiau and Tarbes stations. It has a car park for vehicles and road transport busesfrom the Hautes-Pyrénées serve it.
