Pitxe is the quintessential Basque aperitif, and can be found in wine shops and delicatessens throughout the Basque Country. A pure beverage from a secret family recipe, developed over half a century, it's an aperitif with notes of cherry, almonds and various touches, but not too sweet, and a subtle blend of red wine and various local spirits. Serve chilled on the rocks, with or without tonic. Also available in rosé and white, which can be ordered directly from the site. Also available in discovery gift boxes.
