CHÂTEAU D’AYDIE
Three generations of winegrowers have succeeded each other at Château d'Aydie. Indeed, since 1927, the Laplaces have been at the head of the estate which belongs to the Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh and Madiran appellation. Today, it is Marie, Jean-Luc, his brothers Bernard and François, harvesters, who work on this production. They make many vintages on the 58 hectares planted with tannat, cabernet-franc, cabernet-sauvignon, fer servadou (the Madiran grape varieties), petit manseng, gros manseng, arrufiac, petit courbu (the local varieties). In addition, the four types of soil (clayey or stony) present on the ground have a real effect on grape ripening. To taste absolutely, Maydie, an excellent liqueur wine with chocolate desserts, marbled cheeses or simply alone as an aperitif. A unique terroir!
