THE MILLS
Go there and contact
The milling process becomes an important economic activity on the commune, especially from the th century, where it develops considerably. Many mills are built in the area. The oldest water mills still visible today are those of Old Ideally, Reuzard and Guidreau, as well as the windmill of the Croix Moutard (1771/1791) and the mill of Des, which produces public electricity from the village as of 1912. If they first used grain milling, these mills were also used to work on the skins and paper. The name of the village of Trélitière evokes the weaving of the lattice. A beautiful 6 km walk is required to discover all these monuments of agricultural heritage.
