The building dates back to the Gallo-Roman period. Throughout the centuries he has known a multitude of changes. His dungeon dates from the xivth century, his narthex busted from fourteenth century forts and his Campanile was built in the sixteenth century. Its xve century porch, with its quadrangular summit, is remarkable because of the scarcity of this kind of architecture. His nef and absides, for their part, date from the xie and xiie centuries. The interior is decorated with many works by renowned artists. One dozen works classified by the archeological service can be found among the oldest: 4 altars, 2 medallions, 2 reables, the chair (xixe), the baptismal fonts (xviiie) with their bas-relief (xixe), the statue of Saint Peter of the narthex (xive) and that of San Sebastian, wood (xviiie). As many works you can easily locate on the business plan. The central nef consists of thick walls cut in Roman arcs on massive pillars, arcades that were originally opened on "absidioles" or small chapels, destroyed gradually in the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries when the lateral neves were constructed. The building is inscribed in historical monuments in 1926.
