It dates from the nineteenth and fourteenth centuries and the first lords of Assérac resided there. The lords departed for Ranrouët in Herbignac during the first half of the twelfth century. In the twelfth century, the templiers set up a commanding order, especially the exploitation of the salt marshes. You will notice its high chimneys as well as the rear tower that contains a screw staircase. The mansion once owned a private chapel. Today a stable replaces the old chapel.
