THE TRAGEDY OF PEN-BE
Go there and contact
A small sea with oyster beds, located in Assérac, where you'll discover a typical flora of heather.
The point of Pen-Bé closes the traict. A small sea open to the sea, it is the natural resource of the Mesquer salt marshes. At low tide, the walker discovers the oyster beds. When the water recedes, it uncovers the mudflats, a privileged feeding ground for shorebirds. The moors of Pen-Bé are the largest coastal moors still existing on our territory. You will find there a typical flora composed of heather. You will also see the gorse of Le Gall which diffuses at the time of its bloom at the end of winter a delicious coconut smell.
