CALEPINO
With their round corners, sturdy cover and practical dimensions, Calepino notebooks are designed to be taken anywhere. In a trouser pocket, loose in the handbag, on the desk, it is the ideal accessory to take notes and scribble down your next small or big projects. The brand makes it a point of honour to be part of a fair and eco-responsible approach. Located near Nantes in Loire-Atlantique, Calepino supports local know-how and skills. The manufacturing process is on a human scale and transport times are limited.
The craft workshop of this family business is located in a house dating from the 1970s. It is here that the notebooks are printed on offset presses or old Heidelberg letterpresses with vegetable-based ink. The raw materials used, kraft cardboard and paper, are of the highest quality and 100% recycled. The raw cardboard is manufactured in a 20th century cardboard mill. It has the Blue Angel eco-label and is free of hazardous substances. As for the paper, it comes from sustainably managed forests, the pulp is bleached without any chlorine and is made from 100% recycled fibre (FSC, PEFC and ISO 14001 labels). Each product is individually checked and each case is folded and assembled by hand. The products ? Pocket notebooks, A5, leather, spiral, typed, personalised, and "ephemeral collections": limited editions in collaboration with an artist or designer. But also office accessories... Calepino: small notebook, big ideas!
