On the road from Paris to Thouaré sur Loire and Mauves, Table 23 is located on Carquefou, on the edge of the old N 23, now D 723, hence the name! Convenient access, this restaurant has free parking. We therefore recommend a recommended stopover for a really gourmet lunch! A building in red and grey proudly displays "Table 23 bar, restaurant, grills over a wood fire". The new owners Corine (Coco) and Joseph (Jo) and the whole team welcome us there. The Loire is not so far away, so it is an idea before or after a weekday stroll or for a family lunch in addition to the regular visitors: we already come here for the good grilled meats made in front of us by Thomas: tournedos, entrecote, côte de boeuf, baron d'agneau, muscadet sausages will embalm the plates, sauces and garnishes of your choice. In the kitchen, Jo, the chef, offers his suggestions with extra homemade smoked salmon, Vendée oysters and langoustines according to arrival and season, pan-fried scallops and prawns, roasted Saint Marcellin with bacon. What happens next? The lamb mouse braised in the oven, the fricassee of veal kidneys with port, the escalope of sweetbreads, the tartar with a knife: not bad no? There is also Nadett's formula (order for two people minimum) which combines seafood, grilled rib of beef and dessert of your choice, the whole thing! Of course, good regional Loire wines and French wines to go with it all! The reception at Table 23 is 5 out of 5!
